Dear American Apparel,
OMG I cannot thank you enough for releasing the new "Sheer" nail polish collection for the summer. You have seriously made my whole summer because of these wonderful new nail polishes. I was on the market for a jelly polish that I could layer glitter in between and now I think I have found my new love. Not only does your polish have the perfect amount of sheerness to it so that the glitter can peak through, the pigmentation is also just out of this world. I can't wait to go back to the Mall and purchase more so I can do some ombre nails next.
Lots of love,
Kaylie
Hey girls!
Haha today I have a super fun nail tutorial to share with you guys. A jelly nail sandwich is dare I say it, even yummier than the real thing. This is a super simple look that just involves sandwiching a layer of glitter in between two coats of polish. It gives a cool 3-D look to the glitter, as if it's floating in the polish. This look cannot be achieved with any old polish. It takes a polish of a sheer and jelly nature to make it successful.
I have been waiting forever to be able to test out this look since I've been having a hard time finding the right jelly polish for a reasonable price. There are some scattered Essie's that I know have a sheer finish, but I find it hard to make myself purchase them for $8 each. I have heard that Revlon's "Sheer Seafoam" is a jelly-like polish but it lacks the serious pigmentation I want in a polish. When I thought all hopes were lost, I found myself wandering American Apparel to just browse and my eyes instantly met the new "Sheer" polishes. I didn't believe it was possible, and yet there it was. I used the tester and absolutely fell in love with the finish and immediately thought of some jelly nail sandwiches! Without blinking an eye I picked up a super pretty coral color for only $5 called "Manhattan Beach" just to try and now that I'm completely in love, I'll definitely be going back to pick up her sisters. Sigh... it is possible to be so in love with an inanimate object?

NYC Bound ~ Kaylie's Beauty Haul!
Hi lovelies!
I am super excited to be sharing with you guys my recent purchases from New York City! We had an AMAZING time scoping out hot deals and visiting our favorite stores in the city. Today I have the makeup that I bought while I was there. Eve and I visited every Duane Reade and CVS we could find as well as made some stops at Sephora and Inglot. While we didn't find much at Duane Reade and Sephora, I definitely spent my money well at Inglot and CVS.

One of my most exciting purchases was my very first Inglot palette from the store in NYC. I used what was called the "Freedom System" to choose the colors I wanted and the palette. I decided on the duo palette which was $7.00 and then purchased my two shadows for $6.00 each to get the palette for a total of $19.00. While that may seem a little steep for two shadows, they are amazing quality and I didn't know when I would be back to purchase them. While I was originally going to get one matte and one lid shadow, I decided on getting two lid shadows since they were too gorgeous to pass up. They have amazing pigmentation and staying power. Review to come soon!

NYC Bound~ Food!
Hey girls!
As you guys can tell, we spent the past week in NYC. We had endless amounts of fun and I want to share some of our delicious food with you! Come along!
One of the highlights of our trip was our unexpected detour to Rickshaw's Dumplings cart in Times Square! We were planning on chasing down the Wafels and Dinges truck, but after shopping our way to lunch, we didn't have the energy to walk another 10 blocks. The dumpling cart supplemented us just in time for lunch and we felt less guilty about not getting our dinges! Right in the middle of Times Square was this cute little red truck and what do you know, there was huge line. Judging from the line and the lack of chicken dumplings, there was obviously a high demand. We settled on the duck dumplings and the extra 50 cents were worth it because they were heavenly! We scarfed those up in less than a minute!

Drugstore Review ~ Wet Brush
Hey everyone!
Today I'm SUPER excited to share with you guys my absolute favorite hair product of this season! With all of this pool and beach weather lately, there's no doubt that many of you have decided to take a quick swim and have fun. However, when I come out of the pool I always find that my hair has numerous tangles and knots that are unattractive for post-beach activities and hard to get out with a regular brush due to all of the pulling. My wet hair always seems to tangle a brush in the hair since it easily tangles. This new brush is the ultimate solution to combating those hair problems any time of the year!

NYC Bound~ Eve's Fashion Haul
Hello everyone! You guys have no idea how excited I am to post this!! This past weekend, Kaylie and I went to NYC and of course, did some shopping!! We spent a lot of our time watching Broadway shows and eating authentic NYC food, but we hit up H and M, Forever 21, Strawberry, Victoria's Secret, Inglot, Sephora, Walgreens, Duane Reade and CVS. We couldn't pass up all these beautiful stores!
We did most of our damage at Forever 21, obviously! The store in Times Square is better than my wildest dreams! It has all the clothes you could possibly imagine and has these gorgeous sections that look like little boutiques inside the store! There are sections of romantic clothing, edgy clothing, casual clothing, workout clothes, skincare and makeup, shoes, accessories... basically the entire online store right in front of you!
First, we went to H and M and we were shocked to see that they were having a HUGE sale! There was SO much gorgeous stuff but, as per usual, H and M clothing does not fit me that well, so I walked out with two things, not too shabby.
We can get up close and personal if you click read more!

NYC Bound~ Eve's Beauty Haul
Welcome to Part 2 of my NYC damage! I couldn't fit all my fashion and beauty purchases in one haul so I decided to break it up into twice the fun! Although I went to Inglot, Sephora, Duane Reade and CVS, I only purchased makeup from CVS and surprisingly enough, purchased some skincare items from Forever 21!
In Forever 21, I could've done some serious damage in the skincare section, but I restrained myself and limited myself to face masks. You should've seen me in the store! I was walking around with 10 or more face masks, nose pore strips, eyeshadows, nail polishes... it was crazy! I've been interested in trying out some asian beauty products and I saw that these face masks were made in Korea! I haven't seen these at my store an I decided to get 1 of each kind just to try it out. I will order more online if I really like them! Reviews are on the way!
