Nail Tutorial ~ Perfect French Mani

Hey girls!

Today I wanted to show you guys a quick tutorial on how I love to create a super easy french manicure.  This look is one of my all-time favorites because it can be literally be worn with anything from casual to dressy.  It's a nice change from super bold colors, yet still looks chic and different.  I used to use tape, but it gave be these boxy french nails that didn't look amazing.  After much testing, I found this great solution that everyone has in their home that really makes your french mani pop!

I chose band-aids because they are sticky like tape but have a rounded top so that the white portion of the manicure is rounded.  It made the process so super quick and extremely easy!  The greatest piece of advice I have though is make sure it FULLY dries.  If it's not rock solid yet, I would not stick the band-aid on or else you will end up with a gloppy mess.

Let's get started!

Products I Regret Buying

Hey everyone!

Today I was looking through my makeup collection and remembered a stash I have cumulated over time just to make this post.  While I always do reviews on products I'm about to buy, sometimes I make impulse purchases that take a wrong turn.  Other times the product has great reviews, but it just doesn't work out for me.  Please keep in mind that although these products didn't work out for me, that doesn't mean they won't necessarily work out for you.

With that in mind, let's get started!

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm

While I've heard a lot of good things about the Burt's Bee's line, this product was just not very good.  I picked this up at Whole Foods for around $3 and only used it a couple of times before I set on another quest to find a good lip balm.  The smell is a little funny, but after a while it is tolerable.  However, the product was almost too waxy to the point where it just coated your lips, but did nothing more.  It sort of just sat there...  I totally prefer my Smith's Rosebud Salve since it has a great scent and actually takes off the dry skin on your lips!

More products after the jump!

Drugstore Review~ Eyelash Curler Comparison

Welcome back girls! I have my first review for you guys today! Summer is settling in and I have been going to the pool and lake A LOT. Too often... But even though I love my eyeliner, mascara does not budge in the water and it still defines the eye. I've found a curler that gives me those fluttery lashes!

Kaylie has slowly made me into a mascara girl, and my fail of eyelashes don't cooperate unless I curl my eyelashes. I've been testing out these two curlers recently and the both have their ups and downs, but in the long run, one performs superiorly to the other.

NOTD~ Rocker Chic Microbeads

Hey girls! Sorry for the delay, but I've been working on a VERY exciting post for you guys! I have been in the market for some caviar nails lately, but I couldn't bring myself to spend the money on a kit from Sephora that would only last a few days... so I ventured down to Michael's to look for some microbeads, but I found something better. SELF ADHESIVE BEADS!! Instead of covering your entire nail with beads, you can arrange them in a design and then top it off with a thick layer of clear coat.

The beads are from Michael's and the brand is Liquid Beadz. I found this container on sale because I was slightly dried out, but there is a large selection of them for around $2.99 US at Michael's, A.C. Moore and other craft stores!

Keep reading to see more designs!
