Back-to-School Styles ~ Must Have Shoes

Hello my beauties! Welcome back to another week of Style Sunday! Today, we're embracing the oh-so dreaded back to school season, but cut aside the binder and lockers, we want to look fabulous first!

Back to school shopping is one of my favorite seasons because there are endless excuses to get more! The sales, the new collections... A shopaholic's fantasy!

Back-to-School Must Have Shoes
August might be the hottest month of the year, but once Labor Day comes around, the temperature will fall and we'll be reaching for the skinny jeans and boots! We all need those go to shoes for the school year, the ones that go with every outfit and are super comfortable!

These shoes can be transitioned through the entire school year, every casual, business, informal or formal occasion! Through snow, rain, sunshine and heat!

Combat boots are definitely my most worn shoe of the school year! I wear them with shorts early fall and summer, with jeans in the fall, winter and spring and even dresses! It completes any outfit! I own the Steve Madden Harllem, but the Troopa is almost identical! I've had mine for 3 years and they're still going strong! I bought them for $50 at Nordstrom Rack, and amazing steal but definitely worth the buy!

Minnetonka

I love rocking bright colored shoes! It brightens any neutral outfit, and it blends seamlessly into a color blocking outfit! Moccasins very comfortable and leave the feet breathable! Sperry's can also be an alternative for these! They can be worm casual or formal and with last well beyond a school year! You can find these at Marshall's now! Run out and get them!

I love riding boots to glam up an outfit! The brown color is softer than black combat boots, and adds a sense of elegance! These work beautifully with dresses in the winter so our legs aren't freezing and look great with jeans and a button up!

Everyone needs a few pairs of sandals for those super casual shorts and t-shirt days! I love picking new colors and styles up at stores like Forever 21 every summer! They can be transitioned in fall and spring well and the secure, strappy sandals won't lead to any accidents between classes.

For PE class, or for working out, a cute pair of shoes is the best motivator! These shoes are as trendy as Tory Burch flats and Rebecca Minkoff bags now! The colors are right on trend and they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn! If you're looking for dupes, they have old Nike, Adidas and Asics models at Nordstrom Rack now! Check it out now! Before they run out!

Oxfords are just as functional as moccasins! They can be worn all seasons, with all outfits, and oxfords are girly with a 70's vibe instead of a rustic vibe like moccasins. The lace oxfords are making a statement! They are perfect paired with lace dresses and pastel shirts! Very house on the prairie!

Like every other fashionista out there, I can't stay away from Target! A pair of flats is a necessity for school! They're the most comfortable shoes for walking in the halls, they're quick to change into after gym, work with every outfit, and  are needed every other week for ceremonies etc. I always have a good pair of gold and black glitter in my collection, but plain ol' leather also works!

Tory Burch

An alternative to Target and Forever 21 flats are Tory Burch ones! I've never owned a pair, but I've seen them at the outlets for as little as $60! I prefer oxfords and Sperry's so I haven't invested in Tory's. They come in a variety of colors and are very high quality! Totally slip resistant! I've heard they only take 2 days to break in!

Let's rock these babies at school! I guarantee you'll have shoes for every occasion! Save you from a fashion disaster? Leave your rescue story, questions, comments, and requests in the comment section below. Stay beautiful!
xoxo Eve :*

  2. Just wanted to say I absolutely love your blog! I have a huge love of makeup and clothes but it can be an expensive habit! I love the idea of money saving tips and getting more bang for your buck! I've created a money saving post on my blog detailing different ways of saving money called "Austere August". Although it's mostly aimed at a UK and Ireland market, most of the tips can be applied to a worldwide market.

    Great blog! Mary xx
