Deal Alert! ~ MEGA SALE Goodbye Tokidoki!

Hey everyone!

Tokidoki is on Sale!

So sorry for the lack of posts!  Getting back to school has made things super busy, but today I have an exciting find to share with you girls!  If you are a Sephora junkie like me, you probably know of the popular Tokidoki brand that features great makeup in super eclectic packaging.  Sadly, it is time to say goodbye to this line because it's promotion is over, but on the bright side all of this makeup is on sale!  Sale princes range from 45-65% off which is an AMAZING deal for products that weren't dramatically pricey to begin with.

Some of my favorite products from this line that you guys might want to check out are the glitter nail polishes, tinted lip balms, eye shadow palettes (The ones with four shadows and a blush are only $3!), luminosa powder, and kabuki brush.  They are all great finds and a total steal at their new prices!  It's definitely somthing to check out if yo have a Sephora nearby.

Hurry soon because Tokidoki won't be there for long!  I hope this helped a lot of you girls looking for a great steal.  What are your latest makeup finds?  Are you taking advantage of the Labor Day sales?  Leave a comment down below!

DIY ~ Sea Salt Spray

Happy friday girls!

Today I have a fun DIY for you guys to try out.  I absolutely LOVE beachy waves for a casual, care-free look in the summer.  I don't like to use heat too often on my hair so this spray is perfect for me because it locks in the texture without any hot tools needed.

MFBB (My Face But Better) ~ Natural Drugstore Products

Happy Thursday girls!

Whenever I go out and get products, 75% of the time I want something that will look extremely natural and will enhance versus cover my features.  As a result, I'm obsessed with finding some good MFBB products.  To qualify as one, a product has to have zero glitter and shimmer and should be a similar color to the feature you are enhancing.  It should really only perfect instead of add a radical new color.  These products are for a look that appears that you have no makeup on, yet you just look...better.  With that being said, let's get started!

Quick Beauty Tip ~ Makeup Remover that Won't Break the Bank

Hey beauties!

Today I'm going to be talking about an amazing find for all of you makeup-lovers who want a fool proof makeup remover for a fraction of the cost of using wipes.  Many people use makeup wipes to take off stubborn waterproof mascara and eyeliner that just won't budge even in the shower.  While I used to depend on those a lot, I realized they started stinging my eyes, leaving my skin dry, and running out in a quick period of time.  Neutrogena wipes can cost around $5-8 on a pack of 25 which adds up quicker than you'd think!  A pack can only really last a little less than a month, not to mention many dry out.

My solution?

Pond's Cold Cream Cleanser.  Doing lots of theater productions for my school, I found that this was the most efficient and effective way to take off my makeup, especially during quick changes!  Retailing at about $4.70, this jar will last at least a year and really works!  With one swipe this stuff can take off any 24 hour, waterproof, will-stay-on-your-face-forever type of stuff.  It sounds sort of foreign, but I can actually find it in any drugstore I go to as well as Target and Wal-Mart!  Make sure to get the COLD CREAM versus the one labeled makeup remover.  I find that I prefer this one because it smells better and doesn't sting your eyes!

DIY ~ Tinted Moisturizer

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I have a fun DIY to share with you guys.  Foundation is one of the things that is a must-wear for me to cover up imperfections and even out coloring in my skin.  However, in the hot summer it can be a pain to have a foundation layered on your face because it can feel cakey and heavy under the warm sun.  The solution?  Tinted moisturizer.  While I love a good tinted moisturizer, sometimes it's just not ideal.  A lot of people don't have the budget to spend on both a good foundation and tinted moisturizer.  When I went traveling last week, I forgot my tinted moisturizer and came up with a quick and easy solution for a wonderful tinted moisturizer!

Haul~ Target and Rite Aid

Hello girlies! Summer's going by way too fast! Do you agree? I'm trying to do everything on m bucket list! How's your summer bucket list? Comment below if you want a summer bucket list post!

As you might've seen from Kaylie's recent haul, there was an amazing deal on NYC at Rite Aid this week, so I picked up some products, and I also stopped by Target! I always try new products when they're 40% off at Rite Aid because I don't feel so guilty about picking up multiple products, plus, if worse comes to worst, Rite Aid allows returns of used products. P.S. Kaylie has a lot of this stuff, I'm trying it out.

Target

First, from Target I picked up the ELF powder brush!! I've used Kaylie's before and I knew immediately that I was going to get it!! It's one of those must have products!

Quick Beauty Tip ~ Starbucks Napkins = Blotting Papers?

Hey girls!

I hope everyone is having a lovely day!  Today I have a super quick tip to share with you girls on-the-go that want to save a little money.  During the summer I find my face gets the most oily which can clog pores and cause lots of unsightly pimples to start popping up.  Sometimes blotting papers can add up on your bill and so I've been looking for a cheaper alternative to the $10 packs that you can buy at Sephora.

Products I Regret Buying

Hey everyone!

Today I was looking through my makeup collection and remembered a stash I have cumulated over time just to make this post.  While I always do reviews on products I'm about to buy, sometimes I make impulse purchases that take a wrong turn.  Other times the product has great reviews, but it just doesn't work out for me.  Please keep in mind that although these products didn't work out for me, that doesn't mean they won't necessarily work out for you.

With that in mind, let's get started!

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm

While I've heard a lot of good things about the Burt's Bee's line, this product was just not very good.  I picked this up at Whole Foods for around $3 and only used it a couple of times before I set on another quest to find a good lip balm.  The smell is a little funny, but after a while it is tolerable.  However, the product was almost too waxy to the point where it just coated your lips, but did nothing more.  It sort of just sat there...  I totally prefer my Smith's Rosebud Salve since it has a great scent and actually takes off the dry skin on your lips!

More products after the jump!

Tag Tuesday ~ $20 Makeup Challenge

Hey lovelies!

Today, I have a really fun tag that I've been dying to do that's been floating around Youtube for a while.  If you are not familiar with this tag, it's basically a challenge to do a full face of makeup with only $20.  I think the $20 Makeup Challenge is super fun because we all get to see affordable products that really work!  All of my products you can find in the drugstore or Walmart, Ulta, and Target.  Not to mention, most of these products I have purchased for even cheaper than their price tag with 40% off and BOGO1/2 sales!

DIY ~ Sugar Lip Scrubs

Happy Monday Beauties!

Today I have a fun DIY project for you guys to try out.  With all of the hot, dry weather my lips have become extremely chapped and sometimes even my favorite lip balm can't fully restore my lips.  When my lips become really flaky I know it's time to go to the next step and use a sugar scrub.  While I'm not one to make my own eyeshadow and lip gloss on a regular basis, lip scrubs are one of those things that I feel can be easily and cheaply made without going to Ulta or the Body Shop.  I've seen lip scrubs range from $8-25 which just seems ridiculous if you can make it at home with the same exact ingredients for a fraction of the price.

Summer Face Routine!

Heyhey girlies! How are you this fine summer day? Sorry southern hemisphere :( As the heat is steaming up, I find my makeup melting off my face! I'm not one of those girls who wears makeup in the pool, but I do enhance my features and matten my face because it gets SUPER oily in the summer. You could probably fry an egg on my forehead! It is NOT pleasant!

My summer face routine is very simple, and natural, I just enhance my cheekbones, eyes and conceal  some circles and zits! That's it!

Step 1: First, I take a little drop, just slightly bigger than the size of a pin head usually. The majority if used for my under-eyes, and the rest I use on the imperfections of my face. To blend it all out, I use this fluffy brush from Ecotools. It is an eye blending brush, but I find this is a much more efficient use for the summer! It's from the $10 travel brush kit, and I got it on a BOGO free! It's a bargain little duo and they work like a dream! It feels super lightweight and is heavy duty! Plus the blending press won't force excess makeup on your skin so it doesn't settle in fine lines!

The rest awaits you!

Travel Tips Thursday ~ Makeup Essentials for the Beach

Happy Thursday everyone!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!  My day was full of eating, swimming, walking the dog, and just spending time with some family and friends.  The house I visited happened to be right across the beach so we all had a great time in the water and relaxing in the sun.  Although I don't like wearing too much makeup when I go to the beach, there are some essentials that I always take.

NYC Bound ~ What's in my travel beauty bag?

Hey beauties!

Today I have an exciting post to share with you guys!  Eve and I are heading off to the Big Apple tomorrow and can't wait to go!  We'll definitely do some good sight seeing, eating, and of COURSE shopping.  I can't wait to share our future hauls as we should have a ton to share with you guys since NYC is one of the shopping capitals of the world.

Today I'm super excited to be showing you my travel beauty bag!  I picked up this bag from Marshall's recently for around $12.00.  It was an amazing deal considering how much I can store!  I absolutely love this bag for travel as it can fit a ton, but can fold to take up minimal room in my suitcase.

Smooch Proof Products

Hello my loves! Summer has finally begun and we've been spending all our time at the country club and by the lake! I wear minimal makeup in the summer so it's usually mascara, eyeliner and lip balm or gloss. Instead of doing dozens of reviews, I decided to combine everything into a collection post! An overview of my collection!

Protecting your lips from the sun and keeping them hydrated is crucial! Who wants to be kissing a girl with dry, crackly lips?

Lip Treatments/ Lip Balms

My lip treatments and balms are products I use at home; either before going out or right before bed. I use Rosebud Salve on a daily basis just to hydrate my lips at night. I use the Chapstick treatment when the air is especially dry or my lips are dry! The Blistex is used for dire emergencies when my lips are completely burnt or peeling. Don't use it too often though because you don't want to keep applying medicine. The Nivea is used right before I head out the door because the SPF 30 protects throughout the day.

Chapstick Overnight Lip Treatment Skin Protectant Lip Balm, Nivea A Kiss of Protection SPF 30, Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment, and Rosebud Salve (Original)

Deceiving Dupes~ Sephora Harmony Trio Bronzer in Apricot and Wet n Wild Mega Glo Illuminizing Power in Stike a Pose Rose

Hey girlies! I have my first makeup post today! I have a dupe video for one of my favorite highlighters! This is the perfect time to break out those highlights and add some shine to your face! They're all the buzz for the summer and I've seen that lots of brand at Sephora have been putting out new highlighters for the summer! Jump on the bandwagon! Keep reading!

My favorite for the past few months has been the Sephora Harmony Trio Bronzer in Apricot, the shade all the way to the left is the one I use. However, I found out that it was being discontinued and I can't seem to find it anymore! I've been trying to use it sparingly, but I found a perfect match for it  by Wet n Wild. One of my favorite brands if you can't tell already! This is the Mega Glo Illuminating Powder in Strike a Pose Rose- yet again, the shade all the way to the left.

Deceiving Dupes ~ Essie Super Bossa Nova vs Wet n Wild Frosted Fuchsia

Hello beauties!

Last summer, Essie came out with this gorgeous shade that I just had to get my hands on called, Super Bossa Nova.  It is a vibrant pink with blue reflects when the light hits.  I absolutely love wearing this shade to the beach with a tan or to a summer party.  This collection was limited edition though and now this shade is terribly hard to find.  Not to mention, I payed the full price at $9.00 for the bottle!  However, I found an amazing dupe that is easily accessible at the drug store for a fraction of the price.

Eyeliner Collection!

Hello my lovelies!! As I promised, I will have collection posts coming, and to kick them of... drumroll please... EYELINERS! I'm definitely and eyeliner girl. Most girls say they feel the most refreshed with mascara on, but I think a swipe of eyeliner is a complete look! I do a lot of research before buying my products, although they are inexpensive, so these are definitely my favorites!

Pencil Eyeliners-

The Wet n Wild eyeliners are definitely some of my favorites! They're dirt cheap at $0.99 US at the drugstore and there are sales all the time! I was skeptical about them first because since when can 99 cents buy you quality good? But I've learnt not to judge a book by it's cover! Keep your eye out to get the most bang for your buck! Put the colorful eyeliner on my water line for a pop of color as well as the white to open up my eyes, and the black goes on my tightline and smudged into my lashes to give them a full, defined look! These can be found at any drugstore or makeup supply store.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeliners in Amethyst, Sky Blue, Olive, White and Black Black

Swatches in order from top to bottom: Amethyst, Sky Blue, Olive, White and Black Black
