I hope everyone is having a lovely day! Today I have a super quick tip to share with you girls on-the-go that want to save a little money. During the summer I find my face gets the most oily which can clog pores and cause lots of unsightly pimples to start popping up. Sometimes blotting papers can add up on your bill and so I've been looking for a cheaper alternative to the $10 packs that you can buy at Sephora.
Keep reading to find out the details!
I don't know if you guys have heard about this, but I once read that people use toilet seat coverings as blotting papers... I'm yet to try this since it seems a little quirky and unsanitary. I was thinking that there had to be another way to blot your face for free besides toilet coverings, so I did a little research. I found out that Starbucks napkins might do the trick due to them being made out of 100% recyclable content. I was just there today to pick up a frappucino and decided to put it to the test!
As you can see, the recycled fibers create a grainy texture that absorbs the oils from your face. |
Did it work?
YES! Wow I'm seriously impressed with the power of these napkins. They took off all of my oil from my face and it actually felt mattified after! I feel a lot more comfortable with rubbing napkins on my face versus papers that are meant to line toilets. The best part? They are obviously free so you can stock up without the high budget. Not to mention, you can pick up a yummy drink while you stock up.

DeleteWould this work for any 100% recycled napkins? I don't have a Starbucks nearby, but there's definitely a coffee shop that I could still hit up for this. ;)
