Trend to Try ~ High Low Skirts

Hey lovelies!

Today I have a fun post to share with you guys.  During the summer high-low skirts have really made a huge appearance!  I love them because they are so feminine and flirty and can be dressed in tons of different ways.  For this post I decided to dress a high-low skirt in different ways so you guys could get some inspiration as to what to pair with a skirt like this.  I was so ecstatic when I found this skirt at Forever 21 for $19.80!  It may seem like a lot, but high-low skirts can usually cost way more so this was a total steal, considering the number of looks I can get out of it!

Too see the looks, keep reading!

Casual Mall Outing

For this outfit I decided to pair the high-low skirt with a plain peach top from Forever 21.  This makes the skirt very casual and easy to wear.  The neckline is a bit ruffled but mostly plain and simple and the color is amazing for the summertime because of how well peach compliments a nice tan!  I tucked in the shirt to let the band of the skirt peak through.  To make it even more casual I added a dark denim jacket from Gap over the whole outfit.  I don't know why but for some reason I am absolutely obsessed with pairing denim and sheer!

Lunch with Friends

In this outfit I switched out the peach top for this floral, sheer top by American Rag (You can find this brand at Macy's!) for $39.00.  The background color to the flowers compliments the skirt beautifully and the floral print really gives a nice pop of color.  The sheer texture of the shirt makes this outfit a bit dressier for a nice outing with some friends.  With it I paired a simple golden charm bracelet that I made in Alaska for an accessory that wasn't too over the top.

Night on the Town

For the final look I wanted to make the high low skirt more on the dressier side for a fun night out to a dinner or a party.  I used this silk tube top that I got from Forever 21 that cost $12.90 to layer underneath the sheer-textured skirt.  The cinched-in neckline and silk texture gives the outfit a really elegant feel.  Not to mention the simplicity of the top draws a lot of attention to the dramatic high-low hemline.  I LOVE this look because although it is very simple on its own, it can be dressed up in so many different ways with fun bracelets and earrings.  Just as an example I took a thick gold bangle from Forever 21 that cost $3.80 to give a dressier feel to this outfit.
